Busy weekend

These past few days just flew by. Hunter played a great game of flag football on Saturday morning. His team won the game. I'm so proud he played for most of it considering he didn't even want to put his uniform on. It was so hot, too! Bless their little hearts for playing so well in the heat. He didn't even complain about his mouth guard either.
I found a babysitter for the last minute party we went to on Friday night. We had a nice time and I got very lucky one of my sitters just happened to be available and Hunter really likes her. He also got an i-phone this weekend. It's not new-it's my old one. Jay got a new phone so he passed his new one down to me-the new 3GS with 32GB and we gave Hunter mine. It was easier than buying him an i-pod Touch. This way he can go on you tube and play his games and we didn't have an added expense-buy adding his phone we are actually saving money on our phone plan with a family plan. We told him it's part of his birthday present which we were planning to do anyway.

It's almost October and I love Halloween. I can't wait to decorate! I want to share some cute items I found. I got these cute little slipper socks at my favorite store-Target! I also found this adorable cupcake mix kit at my local Michael's but I'm upset that it only makes 8 cupcakes. It wasn't worth the money spent. :( It was $9.99 and I had a 50% coupon so I spent $4.99 and it brings everything you need. The packaging is cute though.

The latest craze in our family is Farmville on Facebook. If you're not familiar with this it's a virtual farm app where you can grow and sell your own crops and buy different animals, etc. It's a lot of fun and Hunter loves it! So my entire family is playing away and sending each other gifts every day and I even added my mother-in-law as my friend on FB ( I know, I know). This was just for Hunter. You see, I already added her once before and back in Dec. around the holidays when we had another falling out Jay's mom and sister both removed me as their friend on FB. So it took some time but his sister and I made up. It's a long story; I won't get into it. I've been very reluctant to add her but I did. I'm sure I'll be sorry for doing that. Therefore I won't have any other outlet but here to vent or complain. Thanks!

My story

I've been thinking about this for the past few months and I finally did it. I have my own blog! I'm so excited to be able to share my hobby, thoughts and random daily stuff instead of keeping it to myself. Plus, it's much easier to post stuff once instead of repeating myself at least 10 different times to my family and friends-I find myself repeating stories because I can't remember who I've already told. LOL

I have issues with my mother-in-law-it's no secret. From time to time you might read some posts about me venting my frustrations about this psycho woman. For those of you who get along with your mother-in-law's I am jealous. I really wish I could like her but it's hard to like someone who is insulting you while giving you a compliment at the same time. Don't get me wrong-she's not totally mean, although she can be pretty nasty especially when I get an e-mail from her. She likes to send e-mails when she gets ticked at me or my husband for whatever reason. It's pretty funny because she misspells a lot. I have a special folder in my in box where I save all her nasty grams, as I like to call them. She's the Jewish version of Marie Barone. For those of you who don't know who that is-she's Raymond's mother on the TV sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. She looks just like her too except she's much thinner and oh how she loves to give unsolicited advice; especially on how to raise my son!

I had to take Hunter to his flag football game alone tonight. As soccer season is approaching here I will not be seeing very much of Jay since he is very busy on the soccer board and coaching, etc. Hunter did okay, especially after we bribed him. We told him he'd get $5 for every flag pulled and $5 for every touchdown. ( I know, I know). He tried and almost pulled one flag and ran the ball a little until he started bleeding from his gums from the mouth guard. It turns out his 6 year molars are breaking through. And he'll be 7 next month! Plus he's got some other loose teeth in the front. So that was the end of that. He didn't play the last quarter. It's better than last week though. He got hurt at practice last week and we thought his finger was broken, but thankfully it was only a sprain so he missed a game. It's still a little swollen but it'll be fine.

Last night my husband told- REMINDED-me (Yeah right, he thinks he told me but he never did) that we have a party to go to Friday night and to make sure I got a baby sitter. I asked him where it was and he says " I told you it's at Shannon's house"! I said if you already told me I wouldn't be asking where it was. Mind you he couldn't even tell me what time it's at. Honestly I think I would remember if he told me we had a party to go to since we rarely go out. I hope I find a sitter by tomorrow; wish me luck.

I love October! It's a very busy month for me because a lot of my family members are born in this month as well as my son and I love Halloween! I bought this at Walgreen's today! Isn't it cute? It's a Mickey light up pumpkin head. I don't know where I'm going to put it yet, but I'm sure I'll find the perfect spot.
